Bachelor of Arts Criminal Justice

As society becomes more concerned about homeland security and the need for law enforcement services increases, demand for criminal justice professionals is expected to continue to grow. Criminal Investigations (CRM 3406)
Explores the fundamental components of interviewing and investigations. Covers investigative practices in apprehending suspects and preparing criminal cases. Includes an in-depth examination of the science and art of criminal investigations, and gathering and analyzing evidence. Stresses overall management of major cases.
Delinquency and Prevention (CRM 2203)
Explores the nature and extent of delinquency, the risk factors involved in delinquent behavior and victimization, and the juvenile justice system. Reviews and addresses prevention and diversion programs, and best practices.
Victimology (CRM 4107)
Explores the interaction of victims in terms of behavior, trends and research. Covers victim advocates, domestic violence and child abuse.
Homeland Security and Terrorism (CRM 4406)
Introduces and explains international and domestic terrorism. Explores the historical and philosophical underpinnings of terrorism, and local and international prevention efforts.
