Bachelor of Arts Business Administration Healthcare Management

This Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a specialization in Healthcare Management is unique to Florida Tech and is designed to give you a broad-based business perspective along with a concentration of knowledge in healthcare management.

Some of the courses that make up this degree program include: Essential Business Skills, Principles of Management, Medical Ethics and Healthcare Organizations. Essential Business Skills (EBA 3321)
Explores the nature of the organization’s communications environments. Provides an understanding and practical experience about the various strategies and formats available when developing responsive communications in organizational situations.

Principles of Management (EMG 3301)
Introduces management as a discipline and process. Includes evolution and scope of management, decision-making, planning, strategy, organizing, staffing, leading, control, change, and the importance of management in the global environment and ethical considerations of management decisions.

Medical Ethics (EHC 1103)
Examines the moral problems that arise in the practice of medicine. Covers theories about what is good and what is right as related to bioethical and socioethical issues.

Healthcare Organizations (EHC 3302)
Studies the U.S. healthcare system. Includes structure, finance, governance, personnel and cultural values. Emphasizes the influences exerted by the economic, political and social forces within the larger society and the healthcare system’s response to these influences.
