Negotiation Essentials is the first eight-week online course in the Executive Certificate in Negotiation track and is designed to help busy professionals build a solid understanding of competitive interactions. This course helps students develop the tactics, strategies and interpersonal skills necessary for success when competing over resources, direction or ideas. Key topics include:

- Effective Preparation
- Claiming Value at the Table
- Risks and Impacts of “Fairness”
- Dangers of “Win-Win” Approaches
- Traps/Barriers to Overcome
Successful students will receive a certificate of completion from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. Those who complete all three of Notre Dame’s certificate courses will receive an Executive Certificate in Negotiation.
